Synopsis

Arthur Millwood had always longed for the otherworldly. Then one day in a London art gallery he witnesses cult artist Masinda fall from/through a painting and he is drawn into the metaphysical world of ‘the hunger artists’; an ancient tribe of painters and architects who have survived persecution from man and God via their fantastical living art.
With an eye from Masinda’s corpse, an obsessed Millwood walks the cities secret landscape and enters the sinister world of the hunger artists… finding a scrap of haunted canvas that gives him visions and sensations greater than any drug. Discovering traces of a past massacre of the artists he reveals the existence of Mehka – the Black Madonna – and her quest to reunite the lost fragments of a portrait of God.
